Aromas of caramel and vegetation - fairly simplistic. Flavor was balanced not overly sweet or bitter. A good staple beer to keep in the fridge for pounding - not savoring. Very drinkable overall, but nothing noteworthy. Gotta love the northwoods. BuckyinMinn (18), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2005 I rated this beer only because it is a staple in my household. If you happen to be in the northwoods and want something without much commitment, this is a good choice. Not as sweet as Honey Weiss, so drinkable year round. Darkover (1315), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2005 This was a very well made pale lager. Poured a clear deep golden with a slim-but-well-retained white head. Aroma had a nice malty sweetness to it. Crisp and very smooth through the palate. Flavor picked up some malty sweetness in the mouth, followed by a medium-length bitter finish. Rather enjoyable for a beastly hot summer day... best the the brewing co. has to offer. The color is a little darker(deeper shade of yellow), the flavor is fuller, this one has some caramel malt flavor and more robust hop flavor. I like this beer, nothing really stands out about it, but the relatively simple flavors work well together. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
