Aroma is light grains and some floral hops. Flavor is caramael malts and a grassy floral finish. On the palate just like the other 2 leinies I’ve tried this was watery and too thin. Drinkable but nothing very tasty. Better than a macro. hezron (604), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 31, 2005 Corn and veggie aroma, some sweet caramel malt noticable. Amber in color with a very thin off-white head, dark for a pale lager. Flavor is thin,...some caramel with a tiny touch of grass in the finish. Watery, thin. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 8, 2005 bottle. a rich looking deep gold in color. a smooth mellow lager flavor but with a strange bitterness on the finish. Leine’s does some of their other brews much better. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 24, 2005 my least favorite leinie thus far. Liked it much more the second time, reminded me a bit of a Labatt 50/50, bitter at first, then more enjoyable. UNCCTF (465), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 12, 2005 Bottled. Golden with a big white head that dissipates quickly. Plain, malty aroma and flavor with a so-so finish. Tastes like a fuller version of MGD. Not too terribly impressed. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 18, 2005 Amber / golden-brown in color. Looks high in carbonation and smells like most pale lagers - light and somewhat like Wonder Bread. Heavy carbonation. Light, lively taste with pine and lemons, tasting like Pinesol, more or less. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 14, 2005 Back in Wis. relatives liked my house for Christmas. Meaning I would have some Leine’s in the cooler. Aroma of those grassy fields in the summer. Big head at first then diminished but still left some lacing on the glass. Cool and crisp on the palate with a mild bitter ending. My dad should visit more often. BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Feb 28, 2005 Leinenkukel Corp. probably puts more money into the snazzy packaging than the beer itself. It’s quite palatable and has hints of a deeper complexity. However, the astringent macro "bite" is still present, especially in the finish.
