jkaiser (74), USA Aug 28, 2008 Pretty dark pumpkin amber. Nice head disappeared quick, nice lacing. Aroma of faint malt. Tast is medium bodied, mild bitterness and metallic. Not a winner. bluemooner (75), Rogers, Minnesota, USA Aug 26, 2008 Pours an amber color with white head which quickly disappears with some lacing. Tastes of caramels, malt, and light hops. This beer is very well balanced and light bodied with a crisp finish, making it a very drinkable one. I enjoy this beer but for an octoberfest it is really sub par. blipp (713), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 23, 2008 Bottle ay Buffalo Brewfest. Pours amber with a white head. Malty arom awith toast and caramel. Flavor is toasty malt with a nice bitter hop finish. Not bad. smjohnst (124), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2008 I was quite impressed with this beer actually. It had a great flavor to it, slightly sweet but not too much. the only thing that it lacked was a little bit of body. JUST not thick enough for an octoberfest beer. thejoeshow (106), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Aug 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden/copper color with a slightly off white head that disappears rather fast. Aroma is of grain and something else I can’t quite make out. Flavor is a little low. I was hoping for a more robust, full, rich flavor so I would say this is a bit of a let down but not terrible by any means. It is a good shot at a middle of the road Oktoberfest. I could see this being a transition beer for people wanting to get into Marzens.
