| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Pours a thick head with clear amber color. The nose is kind of floral with some hints of hops but the aroma is not potent. The flavor is nice and nutty and has some hints of spice but nothing intense. You can kind of taste some hops but it fades rather quick. I do like how it is nutty and coats your mouth with that caramalized malt. Overall it is a refreshing brew and leaves a nice after taste. ditmier (1117), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 30, 2008 2008 Bottle - Pours amber with a quickly dissipating off white head...aroma is leafy, moderately malty and lightly skunked...flavour follows, decent bitterness on the front end, but the malt never comes through to the extent it should...decent effort for a macro, drinkable, but certainly not the Marzen I’m going out to look for cbkschubert (2027), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 29, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine (Tucson) - Pours a clear amber color with a one and a 1/4 finger thick off white head which settles to a film that lasts to the end. Very light lacing. Aroma is a toasted and grainy malt, herbal hops, and faint esters. Flavor is toasted caramel malt and light esters. Medium body. A decent Märzen. pj1855 (158), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Bottle.
Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, grain, husks), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a note of metal.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic.
Pretty sad...grainy, industrial nose, crude malt character, and not much else. islay (481), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-13-08. Pours a brilliant, sparkling, effervescent, copper to light amber with a large amount of fluffy, cream-colored head. Bubbling lasts a long time. Looks really good! Malty aroma features toasted bread and muffin. Similar taste also features a red apple flavor. There is a dryness in the flavor from the noble hops. Dry finish. Refreshing and crisp in the palate. Light and easy to drink. This beer is more about the appearance and palate than it is about the taste. It’s a decent sipper during a football game. johnnyoski (164), Macomb, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 27, 2008 12oz bottle: Pours an amber color with orange tint. Small trace of an off-white head that quickly disappears. Roasted malt on the nose with some hints of sweet spices. Initial taste of light roasted malt with a slight hoppy-dry finish. Lively carbonated and light bodied, this leaves a taste of sweet spices lingering. A refreshing Oktoberfest with a good balance of flavor. astrofrk (219), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
