Commercial Description:
A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations.

Copper pour with coke foam head. Light nose of roasted malt. Flavor was caramelized sugar with some spice, dry and had a hoppy bite on the finish.

I like this lager, it is full of flavor. It makes me think of what original american lagers must have tasted like back in the day, with solid malts and crisp hops

A good Oktoberfest Marzen. The three Oktoberfest beers I regularly drink in the fall are the Sam Adams, Schell, and Leinenkugels. I think the Leinenkugels has a bit of a lighter body than the other two and has a little sweeter profile. Very drinkable. Copper color, white diminishing head. Nutty, caramel, honey flavor with a pleasant sweet aftertaste.

Not bad, really. Coppery orange with a beige head. Nutty, caramel aroma, as is the flavor. Maybe a touch of cinnamon, to. Mild crispness in the finish.

12 oz bottle-pours a thin retaining light tan head and amber color. Aroma is medium malt-toasty/some caramel, secondary earthy hops. Taste is tea, light/medium malt-toasty, thin, fizzy, secondary earthy hops.

Crystal clear amber color. Malty roasted aroma almost bread like. Slightly sweet caramel in flavor with a finishing but lingering hoppy bitterness. My overall thoughts: an average marzen with nothing too outstanding.

Pours translucent light amber color with a small head that dissipates immediately. Interesting sweet and toasty malt aroma with toffee and biscuit. Roasted malt dominated flavor, caramel and toffee backbone. Palate is thin, but an otherwise decent malt heavy beer for the Oktoberfest season.
