Commercial Description:
A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations.

Bottle--Definately one of the poorer Oktoberfests out there, kinda wish I would have picked up a single instead of the full six pack. It looks like an Oktoberfest, smells like an Oktoberfest and tastes like an Oktoberfest, but just not well done. The beer is very watery which drags down all the scores. Produce place

(USA) Pours a med amber color with a small dissipating white head. Aroma is of caramel, malts, and toffee. Taste of sweet malts, caramel, and a tiny hint of spices. The mouthfeel is kind of watery and thin but finishes with a slighty dry palate. This is very drinkable, but not the best kind of Oktoberfest brew.

This reminded me of what i thought a good beer was when i was in college, when buying a variety 12 pack of some low quality micro was good beer. I also had flashes of when i though Michelob Amber Bock was good also. It is drinkable, not too sweet, but not much going on.

This is one of the low end octoberfests I’ve had. The mouthfeel is pretty watery. Not much flavor.

Aroma is of malt and barley with a slight hint of citrus and... molasses? Amber in color with thin head. Flavor is barley.. ish... maybe some molasses... I need to stop eating baked potatoes before I rate beer.... Overall not bad.. thin palate.

The aroma is malty with light caramel and toffee. There is also paper, and resin hops but they are light. The appearance is amber with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma with a watered down taste. The palate is somewhat thin. Overall it’s OK but tastes Macro.

12 oz bottle from a 6 pack from Jewel. I’ve always felt Leinie’s does a few things right. This is one of their decent brews. Pours a non-hazed amber hue with a decent offwhite head that sticks around a little bit and winnows off. Aroma is actually a bit hoppy, complimented well with the malty caramel body it gives in taste. Finishes clean, but without a great finish. Body is good with a nice assertive maltiness (Esp. for this brewer) and decent hop bite but lacks body and is a little watery / lacking taste in some parts. A decent brew, but not really a true testament of the style. If you want a true Oktoberfest, go elsewhere. But, this is a nice brew once in awhile. Cheers!

Bottle, pilsner glass. Pours an amber-orange. Off-white head, not thick but decent retention, spotty lacing, nice ongoing effervescence. Malt bouquet. Flavor begins with a light malty sweetness, hints of lemon zest bitters, but turns towards a variety of off flavors in the finish, stale biscuit when cold, more of a metallic tang as the beer warms. Cold and fizzy on the palate.
