It had a great flavor to it, slightly sweet but not too much. the only thing that it lacked was a little bit of body. JUST not thick enough for an octoberfest beer. thejoeshow (232), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden/copper color with a slightly off white head that disappears rather fast. Aroma is of grain and something else I can’t quite make out. Flavor is a little low. I was hoping for a more robust, full, rich flavor so I would say this is a bit of a let down but not terrible by any means. It is a good shot at a middle of the road Oktoberfest. I could see this being a transition beer for people wanting to get into Marzens. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

This one however isn’t one of their better brews. Taste is bland with some light bitterness with a crisp clean finish. Just doesn’t have enough flavor. Come on Leinies, you only need one or two beers to get the bud light drinkers on your side. Wouldn’t buy again.
