Aroma is nearly absent. A hint of alcohol and corn. Taste of semi-sweet malt and barely any hops. Very watery finish with a clean aftertaste. This is more of a "Light Oktoberfest" at best. Not what I expected from an Oktoberfest. averyblund (19), Michigan, USA

Had an aroma of malt and some bitering hops. The taste is ok with a malty finish. soopdog (5), duluth, Minnesota, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2006 An American "Oktoberfest" that actually vaguely tastes German. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 25, 2006 (Bottle) Pours amber with a white head. Malty, yet a watery mouthfeel. Not a whole lot of balance, but some slight spicy notes in the aftertaste. A rather disappointing offering from Leinenkugels, compared to some other stuff they brew. kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 24, 2006 12 oz bottle: Light amber w/ a lasting light cream colored head. crystal clear. Initial aroma impression is grainy and cheap! Green apple, light hint of toasted malt, but grainy malt character predominates. Light caramel, sweet apple aroma.... great for some people...Not for me! Flavor is light overall w/ caramel, light toasted malt, and a hint of granny smith apple flavored...semi dry finish, toasty and green apple aftertaste. Lighter body, medium carb. overall, fairly macro!. Not a good beer overall. Too "macro-ish" for an O-fest... Not one of my favorites. joefflin (66), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Nov 23, 2006 12oz bottle in pint glass. I wrote a lenghty review for this and i forgot i wasnt signed in, so it erased when I submitted it. Great. So here is a shorter version for what I had penned down. Pours a more brown than Sam’s Octoberfest. Not nearly as good either. Packaging is grea though, goes with all leinies. Head is more fizzy than froathing, but still somewhat creamy. Aroma is ok. Caramel and hops. Taste is mild with hop and maybe a spike of pumpkin at the end. Light bodied, and easy to drink. Enjoyable, but disappointing.
