Commercial Description:
A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations.

Without bias toward calling it a marzen or standard octoberfest beer I would say it’s mighty fine. Beautiful pour, rust-orange color with thick white head that never settled. Strong lace. There’s definitely an aroma...who said there wasn’t one....it’s not great, but it’s there. hah. Very nice light malty taste to it, nothing offensive about this beer considering it is cheap Leinenkugel’s. It’s not remotely bad. A nice beer!

Sweet in aroma and taste. Nice amber color. Not as malty/sweet as some Marzens - and I liked that. It is very drinkable with more sweetness than bite. Pleasant tasting and average palate.

Pour is a copper with a big white head. Aroma is non-existant. Flavor is much the same. No real malts or hops are present. Finish is watery and bland. Not a marzen.

This sure didn’t taste like a typical Oktoberfest, as it’s rather watery and not much on the side of spiciness. Not that I didn’t like it as an everyday, drinkable lager, just not what I would have expected for the style.

Found this on draught in Champaign, Illinois. Clear, dark orange pour with a nice thick, pale tan head. This one tastes quite a bit dissimilar to a standard Marzen, without the heavy maltiness that usually accompanies a regular Oktoberfest. Nevertheless, it’s drinkable if somewhat alcoholic in the finish, clean with some sweetness. Good.

bottle. This poured a very pretty amber color, not much of a head. I don’t think this beer tasted that much different from some of their other products, like honeyweiss. It was a little bit too bitter for an "Oktoberfest" beer. Slightly watery.

12 oz pours a very rich-colored amber with very small and slightly tanned head. Very active carbonation. Slightly sweet malty aroma, with a hint of honey or caramel. The taste is somewhat similar to a regualar American Pale Lager, which is usually very disappointing, and this time is no different. The endtaste holds a slightly smokey effect that fades fast into a bare malty finish. Too bubbly and somewhat astringent on the tongue. Not my favorite oktoberfest.

From the bottle pours a thin copper color with a small head. Aromas of carmel, malt, and some citrus. Flavor is sweet too sweet, some carmel and grainy malt. Not very Oktoberfest and not too much different from their honey weiss and standard leine’s, mostly just a new label.
