Commercial Description:
A traditional Marzen brewed with 2-Row Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts. The malts give it a hearty character and deep amber color. Tettnanger and Perle hops provide a well-balanced, drinkable finish prefect for Fall celebrations.

The fruity aroma of this beer must be pulled out of the glass. This is an orangish solution that is some where between rust and pumpkin pie in color that produces a fast dissolving white head. This beer is thin and a very mild sweet yet bitter nut taste with no lingering capabilities.

The head was spare and did not have a great appearance. Not a bad beer, since there was no after taste.

Nice malty taste with a hint of honey. Not much aftertaste, slightly astringent.

Tap @ Big Beer Lodge. Dark golden copper, only ring of film for head. Muted aroma of sweet malt and breadiness. Certain fruitiness showing up in the background, maybe peach? Flavor is all sweet malt, toated nuts/grain, again with some fruit I can’t pinpoint. Palate is cleansed fairly well with a spicy hop fininsh smooth clean finish. Very clean/crisp drink. Creamy smooth body/mouthfeel. Overaall just average.

Falls short, this Marzen has to much of a watery finish to be one of the better beers. It’s like I take a sip of Leinie’s Oktoberfest and it’s wonderfull inside my mouth for the first couple seconds, then turns to water with a non-existent palate. This is an average try at this style. Pours golden and copper hues with a white foamy head. The malty caramelly goodness lingers for a few seconds then leaves.

Golden color with little head...no lacing. Smell is very mild but mostly malt and a sweet bread smell. At first tatste it seems to hit the style on but after the inital taste it feels thin and has a very grainy taste in the finish. Ok but nothing exciting for the style. Mediocre.

Orange with a white foamy soap like head. Aroma is very plain. Wasn’t able to pick out anything distinct. On just aroma alone I wouldn’t know its style. Decent malt, but still too thin. A slight roastedness to it. Very smooth and malty enough to make it a tolerable option.
