| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Bottle. Poured a golden amber with an off-white head. Aroma was full of malts with grain, hay and cereal notes. Flavor was one note malt throughout, mainly grain. HogTownHarry (4007), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Bottle ( 12oz ). Clear bright fairly deep copper with an average fizzy-foamy off-white head (almost a 4). Slightly vegetal, herbal/earthy aroma - the cooked veg dissipates quickly, leaving a decent earthy-grainy aroma, a bit funky and dry. The taste is intriguing - quite a lot of mineral/loam dryness, dry cereal grain, not at all sweet. Chewy but light of body, midly carbonated, it finishes quickly and leaves a real leaves-and-turned soil aftertaste - I really like this! tgncc (818), Bellmore, New York, USA

Pours a clear light amber with a thin white head. Aroma is terrible: there’s some light citrus, grain, corn, caramel, rotting vegetables, and maybe some weird chemical like pool acid. Taste is watery, cardboardy, very macro-ish with a bit of caramel richness. Meh. SpencerDB (68), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Nov 6, 2009 I did not enjoy this beer. Aroma is malty and somewhat citrus with a hint of toilet bowl cleaner. Not surprisingly, the taste backed up the terrible smell. As if I was expecting anything different, the after taste takes away any good taste that the beer had going down. I will absolutely not buy this beer again jcr (1162), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Bottle. Small, fizzy head, off-white, almost fully diminishing. Amber body. Weak aroma of caramel, grain with just a hint of flowers. Slightly sulphuric. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not much character, especially for an Oktoberfest. Grainy, unrefined malt profile. Not much going on here. tnkw01 (199), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Bottle. I love Marzen style beers. Even though this one is made by a beast affiliate it still holds up well. It has a great color and it is not too sweet or sour. Good beer and would recommend at least once.
