| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 20, 2006 Poured out of a can, which came out of 24 pack, which in turn was in the "man fridge" in the basement. Somehow I suspect this is not a unique circumstance for this beer. Yellow, with a big white head. Clean and crisp, with a few beer flavors. I mean, I’m not gonna try to find a new way to say "It taste like beer". RAYBOY01 (1854), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 10, 2006 Typical corn adjunct macro...somewhat watered-down in flavor and texture. Very run of the mill Pale Lager that I can’t even say disappoints, because it doesn’t even promise very much. BlueFalcon (15), Savannah, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2006 To me, Leinie’s Original is the classic Midwest lager. I miss being able to pick up a case of bottles for $9.99... stefanberggren (135), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Jan 27, 2006 Dinner at my fathers... he always has a Leinies in the fridge...reminds me of when I was young and he would give me a sip. Aroma is sweet, slight cidery note. Light rice/corn notes in aroma. Clear with a white head and fizzy carbonation. Taste clean.. light malt notes slight hint of paper (oxidation) with malt sweetness. Not my favorite, but it evokes memories and nostalgia. Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Sampled from bottle. Pours clear yellow-gold with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and grassy. Flavor is faintly sweet and grainy. Medium-light body and well carbonated. It doesn’t suck is the best I can say. ElBorracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jan 17, 2006 On tap. Pale yellow with medium white head. Bland and watery with a stale aftertaste. No more please. Likerighteous (120), Pflugerville, Texas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 14, 2006 Bottle from Whip In. I was drawn to this beer by a rusty old antique sign on the fence at Hanover’s in Pflugerville. I was surprised to find it, really, just sittin’ on the shelf, all dusty and nostalgic like. First whiff-taste was remarkably close to Rainier (both now owned by SABMiller, hmmmm...). Not disappointing, not outstanding. Classic pils.
