I am not rating this beer on an unbiased scale. American macros should be judged against their peers. That being said, I think Leinies has most of the other big names beaten. Sure, it may be brewed with adjuncts, but that comes with the territory I think. I find it a refreshing sweetish beer to drink most any time. I haven’t reviewed many brews yet, so I may be pretty easy on this one. Poured into a pilsner glass it heads up a little bit, a lot unless you carefully pour. The head dies down and leaves a tiny bit of lace sometimes. It smells like most other macros, but goes down smoother. It almost seems a tad heavier than the big two macrobrews. When ever you buy an american macrobrew you aren’t going to get fine import flavor. You get something watery and commercialized, and I think Leinies has dodged that bullet better than most.

12 oz bottle pours golden with a fluffy white head that laces some. Aroma is of light grains, some corn, and some grassy hops. Flavor is just like sucking on an ear of corn on the cob. Palate is light and airy. Quite carbonated. The sweet corn aftertaste is a little disappointing though.

Typical golden-under-white in appearance. Big DMS and burnt grain in aroma... similar to grilling corn on the cob in the husk. Flavor abounds with corn & metal adjuncts. However...

Lighting up a nice, aromatic cigar (I prefer Acid®) bumps up everything a notch or two. Heavy, invasive aromas coat the nostrils and increase the beer’s aromas by a point or two, while spices and tobacco-umami complement the beer’s lackluster flavor and adds to it a pleasant spiced quality & a smoother, nutty finish.

ADJUSTMENT: Original scores stay for all except "overall", which jumps from a "7" to a "12" in the cigar scenario. Maybe I’m out of line because a nice cheroot can make a Miller Lite taste like an ice cream sundae, but I’m trying to get in good with that hot Indi- (oops...) "Native American" gal on the label.

Very light in colorwith a thin white head, slightly hazy with some particulate matter. Sweet and fruity aroma with some corn. Quite sweet in flavor with some tanginess and a fair amount of bitterness. Decent body. Not a great beer by any stretch but better than I remember it from my Wisconsin days.

For the price..Good. Reminds me of something from a big St Louis brewery but with tad more flavor. Good after a hot afternoon in the sun. I think it would be a good pizza beer.

Looks great in an ice cold can on Lake Namekagon with brats on the grill. Pontoon boat beached on a small island. Homemade potato salad, beans and brownies. Kids swimming in the lake. This beer IS Wisconsin.

A light golden color with a white head. Some hop aroma but not much. Has a light taste with some hop presence. Very little mouthfeel or aftertaste.
