A little boring, but not a bad lager. Would be a great beer for weekends on the river, 4th of july and the like where quantity is more important than quality. Of course, we usually drank PBR or Red White and Blue. This is a notch up from those. Barely. thegreenrooster (1848), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Pour is a pale yellow with a large white head. Aroma deffinatly has some bready malts with a wee bit o hops. Flavor is pale lager bland with some corn and sweetness. Better than any macro as it does have a body on it. Comparable to Michelob i guess. StFun (534), Indiana, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Just does not do it for me. Fine for a pale lager, and not much more expensive than the macros. Much bolder than a macro, with little corn. Definitely fuller in texture and flavor. Just...eh, its a pale lager, what do you expect. couchand (182), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

The flavor is relatively malty, with a hint of astringency on the sides of the tongue. There is a faint hint of sulfur, detectable only as a bit of sweetness and perhaps some cooked corn.
The sweetness lingers a little but the bitterness and astringency distract you so it is all too easy to take another gulp. In the end, this beer is every bit as drinkable as one of the Big Lagers, but with much more flavor. My only major complaint would be the near lack of head. wlewisiii (1), Madison, USA does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 13, 2008 This is my basic american style beer.
