I’m not sure if this was just a bad bottle or if that was supposed to be there. Although only a hint of maybe iron, it was what I remember most about this brew. nuplastikk (1252), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 4, 2008 12oz bottle. Filtered amber-brown color. Mellow aroma of brewery malt and faint hops. The mouthfeel is quite watery, with some half decent amber malt characteristics. Creamy and drinkable. Tolerable stuff. meisterbrauMHB (53), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

A seemingly strait forward brew, with nice colour and body. No real magic or presence thought. machfive55 (235), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2008 Poured from a bottle it was a nice amber with some red tones. I drank it in a mug, there was a nice head that disipated quickly. A nice carbonation that is about appropriate for the style.
The aroma was nothing too exciting. Not exactly pleasing in any way, but not a turn off either. Just a little malty sweet aroma. It does not say, "drink me now" but says, "I am beer".
Mouthfeel was nothing exciting. A good carbonation and the beer was not watery and had some thickness to it. Easy drinkin’.
The flavor started of complex, fruity and estery and my first thoughts were that it was a little over the top for a lager. But as I got further into the beer, the estery complex flavors mellowed out and the beer smoothed out as the hop bitterness took over. The beer is not overhopped but hopped at a level that is right for the style which allows the hops to come through subtly in the flavor and a mild bitterness.
There is nothing crazy about this beer, but it is a solid, and fairly clean example of an American Lager. I enjoyed the beer and I could find this one becoming a staple as a solid session lager for me and replacing *gasp* our local Yuengling favorite. I enjoyed this beer and if you just want a solid beer with nothing too exciting but a good flavor without being boring, this is a nice beer for you. Dezzilu (212), Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 12, 2008 A nice auburn color but unfortunately zilch for head. I don’t know why, but I always feel that a beer that pours with no head is cheap. So I guess this isn’t a good start for this beer. The flavor was soft and mellow, but extremely ho-hum. The finish was much of the same. This is a cheap 6-six in the stores in Michigan these days, so I would probably drink this again, but the only adjectives I would use to describe this beer are ’adequete’ or ’mildly-acceptable’. yesyouam (609), Fairport, New York, USA

The aroma is soft and mellow with good malt presence. It is pretty light bodied and a little watery. The flavor is full of adjuncts. Lots of corn here. It really took a lot to finish the glass. I just tried it because I never heard of it. There is no need to try this again.
