| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Bottle from Giardano’s in Chicago. Pours reddish with a lasting beige head. Smell is mostly slightly tart and sweet caramelly malt. Taste is actually quite hoppy up front and throughout, with a nice citrusy and lemony bittersweet caramel malt flavor. This was balanced, refreshing, and actually pretty enjoyable, surprisingly. joesvendsen (29), USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Bottle. Caramel aroma without noticeable hop. Reddish amber color with a flat white head. Near medium body with almost creamy carbonation. Flavor is caramel somewhat balanced by grassy hop. More interesting than a pale lager. Finish tends towards dry, but not a great deal of bitter there. Drinks well. jerrytimes (9), Roseville, Michigan, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 9, 2008 If you are a fan of red beers then you must try this. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear red (duh!) with a whitish head that lasted through about half the glass. Mild sweet aroma along with a kind of metallic, almost iron smell as well. Flavor was pleasant but kind of blah. Some caramel sweetness, a bit of hops, but just sort of blah. A bit thin in the mouthfeel. I was disappointed - I was hoping for more.
