then just malty and sweet with a faint vegetable aroma that pops up here and there, does not get in the way but is there,
flavor of malt, some sweetness that runs dry quickly, faint roasted malt flavor, some bitterness on the tongue at the finish that is typical
of the run of the mill beers, ok mouth feel, a little thin, this could have used more malt flavor, was ok. radagast83 (1302), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Bottle. Not bad, but nothing special at all. The beer didn’t have too much of a taste to it at all. At first I thought I was drinking it too cold, but as it warmed it still didn’t have too much of a taste. Decent for "regular"-Beer drinkers I guess. scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 30, 2007 You can do alot worse than this, which is to say its better than Miller Lite if y9ou had to choose. Its really only red in color, its a lager so it isnt too dry. Possibly the weakest of its kind. Its a good way to get people to drink something new, but don’t make it a point ot get this. wcampbell (577), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Not especially good. Nothing distinct about it. Like the other lenie beers, there was no hop flavor at all. Thin bodied, carbonated, no finish at all. Drinkable. GlenVargas (120), El Paso, Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Leinenkugels Red (bottle) looks like an average, filtered amber with a quickly dissipating head. The aroma is soapy, hoppy, and slightly spicy. Immediately upon drinking, there’s a heavy carbonated bite followed by some spices, but Leinenkugels seems a little thin and watery. The finish is totally clean. This is an obviously boring amber/dark lager, but is actually better than I expected. duffman9908 (8), USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2007 My favorite local watering hole’s on tap beer. A very flavorful offering from Leinenkugel’s that will never disappoint.
