Its really only red in color, its a lager so it isnt too dry. Possibly the weakest of its kind. Its a good way to get people to drink something new, but don’t make it a point ot get this. wcampbell (582), Central, South Carolina, USA

Like the other lenie beers, there was no hop flavor at all. Thin bodied, carbonated, no finish at all. Drinkable. GlenVargas (120), El Paso, Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Leinenkugels Red (bottle) looks like an average, filtered amber with a quickly dissipating head. The aroma is soapy, hoppy, and slightly spicy. Immediately upon drinking, there’s a heavy carbonated bite followed by some spices, but Leinenkugels seems a little thin and watery. The finish is totally clean. This is an obviously boring amber/dark lager, but is actually better than I expected. duffman9908 (8), USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2007 My favorite local watering hole’s on tap beer. A very flavorful offering from Leinenkugel’s that will never disappoint. Beerman6686 (1292), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Pours a clear reddish-orange with a loose, frothy, beige head. Sweet, metallic pale malt with a bit of a wet dog note that faded shortly after the pour. Light-bodied and fairly thin with lively, tongue-scrubbing carbonation. There was also a light metallic note at the dry finish. The flavor is of bready and light caramel malt notes with a dry, slightly metallic finish. It’s a decent dark lager but not anything that I’m likely to drink again. BallyLoser (134), Redmond, Washington, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Served out of a can on a Northwest Airlines flight. Pours an amber with minimal head. A virutally non-existent nose. Taste seemed to have a somewhat apple tone and I felt there was a thick syrupy finish that stays on the mouth. It’s easily drinkable and certainly is a good session beer with a smooth mouthfeel - though I wouldn’t pine for the day to be seeing it in the store for me to buy.
