A virutally non-existent nose. Taste seemed to have a somewhat apple tone and I felt there was a thick syrupy finish that stays on the mouth. It’s easily drinkable and certainly is a good session beer with a smooth mouthfeel - though I wouldn’t pine for the day to be seeing it in the store for me to buy. jbuzz (664), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Great for cooling off on the water. Pretty simple brew, light copper red color and a small beige lacy head. Typical caramel, molasses and touch of hops. Goes down smooth each sip. Nothing to be ecstatic about, but refreshing. My favorite of the Leinie selection. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

While the body is medium, it’s lighter than the color would indicate. A bit sweet, with short sweet finish. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

Roasted malt and caramel on the nose. Pretty much the same for flavor. Needs a bit more hops. Medium bodied. One of the better Leinie offerings. SHANER4 (386), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA

My throat felt numb. I could not finish the beer. Reminded me when I drank a Zima a decade ago, BAD!!! SturmWulf (65), USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Poured a nice amber with a big, foamy, tan head that quickly receded to a very thin cap. Left light lacing. Smelled of malt, roasted malt, spices and a touch of caramel. Taste was of malt, lightly caramel, orange (?) and bitter hops. Was light of body, highly carbonated, slightly oily. Finish was long and bitter, very bitter. Too bitter for my taste. I love most of what Leinenkugels brews, but this one definitely will not enter my stein again. Too fizzy, too bitter and too thin for me.
