Color is a very clear, probably filtered amber, and there’s a bit of lacing. A bit watery and a weak palate. Flavor starts out very typical but decent, and just dies too soon without much of a finish. This kind of beer would be appropriate for a beginner who is just beginning to wean off of weak corporate beer and still needs something a bit watery. I’m still not in the 100 beer club and yet I never went through this phase myself. This beer is typical of when big corporations (Miller in this case) create pseudo-local brews. Charming, but not believeable except to the vast majority of drinkers who don’t know any better. Glennlikesbeer (16), USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Not impressive. Drinkable, non-shitty, but not worth getting. Too bitter, alcoholic, and far too light on the palate. Precept53 (113), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Feb 21, 2007 12oz bottle. Poured an amber color with a thin white head. Some lacing. Aroma was sweet with a hint of citrus. Flavor was of sweet carmel malt and nuts. Not overly complex. Palate was thin, crisp, and clean. ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 15, 2007 I got started on Leinie’s Red. When I was first starting to drink beer (17 or 18, I drank rum before that) This is all I would drink, Definatly a good starter beer. Eventually I took of the training wheels. I should go and pick up a sixer of this one for nostalgia. Dubbercody (214), Vancouver, Washington, USA

Easy to drink Red copper color, I don’t know if I would go out of my way to find it, but alas, free to me beer is beer indeed. Really, cause yeah, it’s interesting enough, but doesn’t wow me.
