Sweet malty notes abound, but without much in the way of hops. Pretty refreshing, but not the most complex beer I’ve ever had. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 7, 2006 On tap at a baseball game. This looked like the best beer available at the time. Very average flavor. Color was nice but other than that all round average beer. mstockton (186), Rochester, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 29, 2006 Pretty decent beer. I recently tried it on a plane from the can. Poured with a thick amber head. Nice flavor...I suppose it’s better than Killian’s but nothing extremely special. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 25, 2006 Weak dark lager, similar to something like Rickard’s Red, only not as sweet. It is a little sweet, but the defining moment I think is when you realize at the end that there is very little bitterness to be found. Unspectacular. AlKHall (161), West Hartford, Connecticut, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 20, 2006 amber brownish appearance. Aroma is doughy. Large head. Flavor is rather thin with some hints of metal and bitterness. Its crisp - not bad - a thirst quencher. ryan (1780), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Pours clear amber with a big, off-white head. The aroma is very light, a touch of buttered bread. The flavor is thin, watery and mettalic, with some sweetness and a touch of bitterness at the end. The mouthfeel is watery with soft carbonation. saltebru (13), Ionia, Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2006 Fairly good beer. A nice malty aroma and pours a nice reddish color. It is very smooth and tastes good. chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2006 Leine’s red. I’ve been drinking this beer for as long as I’ve been drinking beer. I would consider this the best that they have to offer.
A transparent red color. A roasted malt aroma. This comparable to Fat Tire with a bit more bitterness and less of the vegetable taste. This is a good choice for a fishing trip when you’re drinking out of the bottle.
