not a horrible red lager, but some of the best flavor out of any of the leinies. i’m not a huge fan of any of their brews, but it was one we had to try

This was a welcome refreshment at the end of a long day of travel. Wolfgang Puck’s Chinois Salad went nicely with this beer. A bit to much of a caramel type aftertase for my liking.

Light to medium amber color, off white head. Some caramel in the aroma and a bit of toffee. Lightly sweet flavor, again some caramel and a bit nutty, kind of a metallic finish. Lighter side of a medium body. Decent.

Almost orange in color. Smell and taste are stronger than a pale lagerwith some nutty or caramelly notes along with the standard sweet malt. Not complex. Not terrible, but I really don’t care for the flavor.

On tap at Murphy’s in Champaign. Light malty aroma, couldnt really pick up much else with all of the smoke that was floating around the bar. Lightly malty/bready flavor. A bit on the thin side and this also had a metallic finish that I didnt particularly care for. All in all, a decent beer, but nothing to get excited about.

On tap: Fireball red coloring with an even frothy head. Aroma is of lightly roasted hops and some dark cherry. Maraschino cherry flavors abound, and I’m not quite sure that is a good thing. The graininess and maltiness counterbalance the sweetness in a way that is somewhat pleasant.
