Light malty aroma, couldnt really pick up much else with all of the smoke that was floating around the bar. Lightly malty/bready flavor. A bit on the thin side and this also had a metallic finish that I didnt particularly care for. All in all, a decent beer, but nothing to get excited about. BrewKrew (29), bellevue, Kentucky, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 19, 2006 On tap: Fireball red coloring with an even frothy head. Aroma is of lightly roasted hops and some dark cherry. Maraschino cherry flavors abound, and I’m not quite sure that is a good thing. The graininess and maltiness counterbalance the sweetness in a way that is somewhat pleasant. McKnizzle69 (89), Machesney Park, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2006 Tap: Light redish brown in color with little head. Definate taste of hops, however some hints of raspberry. WIERD! Some other fruit was present. ratman197 (3250), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, and bread with a bland finish. GeneralGao (3067), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 11, 2006 Draught. Clear amber color with bubbly tan head. Metallic hop nose with some caramel and stale grapes. Very thin body without much flavor other than a bit of caramel and cereal grain. There is also a prominent metallic aftertaste which adds to the overall lack of appeal of this beer. nick76 (2678), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 4, 2006 Updated: May 21, 2007The metallic hops, caramel, grainy malt, and nuts make this a nice smelling beer but still a little macro if you know what I mean. The appearance is reddish with a medium head that goes away pretty fast. The flavor is mostly good. I enjoy the toasted malt and brown sugar very much. But right before the nice malty aftertaste there is a chemical astringent bitterness that does not seem to work. But, other than that it is a well made beer coming from this brewer. Also of note is the fact that this beer is best when very cold and does not improve as it warms. RAYBOY01 (1858), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 26, 2006 Sweet malt, brown sugar and caramel with a moderately bitter hoppiness that help pull this one out of the swill catagory. Mouthfeel a little thinner than I like.
