Nice white head with some lacing. Flavor is sweet, caramel, some breadiness and fruitiness(cherry). Enough hops to know that they’re present. A bit thin, but a decent brew. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 25, 2004 Deep brownish red color with a pillowy white head. Sticky lace. Looks great. That’s about as far as it goes. Malty, sweet aroma (caramel). Flavor is light caramel, sweet, yet flat. There is nothing that reaches out and grabs you. The beer is drinkable but uneventful. Thin and watery. Mildly sweet finish with some bitter cherry notes. Cartoonkhaki (1150), Brantford, Ontario, Canada

Originally rated as 4-3-5-3-12 (rated as a 2.7). Now, I’m uping the aroma points because it smelled caramelly delicious, but bumbing down flavor, palate and its overall score because it was too damn sweet and cloying. Nevertheless, the original review...
A good middle of the road brew; a fine looking red beer. It’s got a nice, clean and refreshing taste, with a little bitterness and bite at the finish, which I enjoy. In a bottle, it’s distinctively not as fresh and more fizzy, overpowering the better characteristics of this beer. roder60 (1030), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 24, 2004 Pours amber with little bit of fizzy white head. Aroma is macroey and metallic with a hint of sweetness. Taste is malty and sweet and watered down, but still pretty decent.
