Possibly my favorite American Dark Lager. Cornfield (4945), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 18, 2004 More of a dark amber than red in color, this used to be my tap beer of choice in the days before crafted beers started working their way into bars and restaurants. There’s a sweet malty aroma and taste, not too bad, but not too exciting. Very smooth. Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Light amber, OK head. Little aroma. Sweetish malt flavor, almost artificial, did corn sneak in there? Thin, short finish. Reminds me of the first step downhill that was taken by Killian’s Red. flutetokill (515), Fresno, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2004 Amber color with a small beige head. The aroma had some nice sweet corn (but not in a bad way), dough, and a little mint(!). The flavor was better than I expected...sweet bready tones dominated, with some nice herbal tones as well. The feel was crisp and mildly dry. Not bad. Thanks BBB63. drunkenbum84 (70), kenosha, Wisconsin, USA
