Not too carbonated, so didn’t make me burp too much on stage. Good stage beer, I guess. Sassy (217), Mullet Capital of the World, Georgia, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Aug 4, 2004 Pours red with a cream colored head and stops RIGHT there...I could almost detect malts and a hop or two, but overall, a mild beer with a watery finish. limeboy (1), USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 26, 2004 Leinie’s Red is a solid member of the Leinie family. They all have very similar flavors, with this tending towards the hoppiness expected in a red lager. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA

Smooth palate, sweet, malty, creamy. Light caramel, very mildly toasted, finishes sweet and smooth. antisnobJP (275), St. Michael, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 22, 2004 Bottle. Amber-red beer with a fairly decent head and some lacing. Substantial mouthfeel for an American "red" lager. Has a sweet malty aroma, pretty clean. Carmamelly malt flavors with some hop spiciness present. Seems a little young, like it neede to lager more for the flavors to blend and mellow. Mixed 50/50 with an Amber Light, it turned into a very good swiller. Try this, I swear it works. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2004 About what you would expect from a "red" beer.....malts were a bit on the sweet side, fruity on the front end, bitter in the back with a subtle hoppiness. Mouthfeel was too much on the syruppy side....alright I guess. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2004 Bottle from Kevin42. Good color, small head. Taste is sweet and spicy. First taste notes are melon and corriander. Secondary notes of malt and citrus come through. Not a bad beer at all. Complex yet simple. Nice, but not mind blowing. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2004 bottle. pours an amber with a dark white head. aroma is an inviting sugar smell. has a rough hoppy taste that is similar to a grapefruit. this is a little overdone. but it is still the best leinie i’ve had. finish is with a bit more malt. butr is still a little too acidic. nice beer overall.
