ericandersnavy (1039), crossroads, Texas, USA Nov 20, 2008 on tap at metzlers in denton, tx. poured a cloudy orange with a white frothy head. aroma of wheat, fruits, and something unusual i couldnt pick out. almost like a cleaner i have smelled before. flavor was wheat, orange, and other citrus. light-med body with high carbonation. smooch (95), Sylvania, Ohio, USA Nov 19, 2008 This is a great warm weather beer. The flavor may be a little soft for some people, but it just goes down smoothly without being too light. Hophead22 (1056), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA Nov 19, 2008 12oz bottle. Cloudy, dark yellow pour, with a little orange tinge. Slightly sweet lemony aroma. Sweet citrus flavor as well, a little hint of banana as well. Not too bad. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Nov 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy pale gold with creamy soft white head. Smells wheaty, citrusy, and hints of coriander. Tastes citrusy sweet at first, followed by a smooth wheaty flavor with the clove, coriander and maybe a hint of nutmeg and of ginger. Pretty good, but not as good as others in its genre. thornecb (1735), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Nov 19, 2008 Pours hazy gold into a shaker. Tangerine aromas. Sharp, sour bubblegum upfront with a sour, painful finish. OD40oz (600), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA Nov 2, 2008 Orange color with a white head. This beer had an almost citrusy smell and taste. There was a drinkability similar to iced tea I was really impressed with this beer. It would definitely hit the spot on a hot day. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 1, 2008 Pours hazy blonde/golden, thick white head.
Aroma is just filled with fruits. I am not getting muhc of anyting natural in the flavor, and instead get too much added flavors. The aroma is overloaded with citrus / orange peel and wheat, it becomes borderline soda.
Taste is about the same, with some added coriander, the whole mix give it a fruity taste close to grapefruit.
Too much of a ’soda’ orange like taste with hints of hops in the background.
Drinkable, but not natural enough for my tastes. BeerBunker (600), Burbank, Illinois, USA Nov 1, 2008 Pours a nice orange color with a quickly diminishing white head. Very heavy on the carbonation. Aroma of citrus, wheat, and Fruity Pebbles. Taste is big on sweet fruit with wheat behind it. Very light mouthfeel makes this one easy to drink. Simply a light beer for a hot day. Drinking it in November doesn’t give you the same effect.
