After drinking a lot of fruity wheat beers lately, this was my first taste of a "normal" beer in a couple of months. Though I’ve enjoyed the fruity beers, it was nice to have a "real" beer again. It had a nice easy smell, nothing bitter. The taste was great. After all the fruity beers of late, I expected a normal beer to taste slightly bitter, but due to the wheat, it was really smooth, almost sweet without even a hint of bitter in the aftertaste. It felt great in the mouth. It didn’t seem highly carbonated like all the fruit beers I’ve had lately, but it was very refreshing all at the same time; giving my mouth an almost "clean" feel. This was a beer I could have easily knocked back a few more of before calling it a night. It had a gentle sweetness, but not like the fruity beers that leave you a bit overwhelmed after just one. Each drink made you look forward to the next one.

Pours very cloudy apricot color with an off white head. Aroma is spiced wheat, the coriander is very noticeable and a hint of orange. The flavor is similar, well spiced, and the orange is a little stronger (too strong for my liking). Not really what I look for in a wheat, but not a bad beer.

I was recommended by my favorite beer store in town to give it a try because I told them I was looking for something a little different. Well, I was not very disappointed. The aroma is sweet and wonderful. When I first take a drink, I get very strong citrus flavor, and I absolutely love it. Everything down until the aftertaste is nice. The appearance was not that spectacular, but overall, it was well worth buying a six-pack. I say if you have it in your area to try out, you should go ahead and give it a shot. I am looking forward to trying more of Leinenkugel’s beers.

A hazy golden ale with a thin white head. Strong aroma of orange Tang. In mouth, a good malt and wheat backbone with an off putting artificial orange taste. Medium bodied. Bought at CJs Potsdam, 1.40$.

I had this the other day for a BBQ, and it was a good choice. Very refreshing in the realm of a Hoegaarden with more body. Has a nice wheat flavor that stays until the next sip.

12 oz bottle. The pour was a hazy golden-orange with an inch thick white head. The aroma is strong with citrus, oranges really stands out. There is a slight hint og grass or wheat, but the oranges really overwhelm the aroma. Taste was really refreshing and sweet with citrus standing out. Wheat comes out in the finish and lingers in the after-taste. This is an everyday drinker for the hotter months.
