coopermrkn (26), Minnesota, USA Jun 17, 2008 Very good beer. Very tasty, has multiple fruit flavors. Goes down smooth as well. RONCOD (104), Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 16, 2008 Poured a cloudy orange with a thin white head. It looked kind of "chunky." It had a citrus aroma to it. Kind of an orange-lemon-lime aroma. Might not be too bad on a hot summer day. Jilaman (2), Rochester, New York, USA does not count Jun 16, 2008 I really like this, it is overly fruity and distinct fruity pebbles taste, but very refreshing with a slice of lemon or orange. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 15, 2008 Hazy orange pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of fruit and really nothing else. Sweet fake fruit flavor, similar to fruity pebbles cereal. Where’s the wheat? Where’s the yeast? Not good. leninthedesert (112), Nevada, USA Jun 14, 2008 Pretty nice and refreshing summer ale. Strong citrus notes over a distinct malt body. Coriander adds a great turn...very enjoyable beer! DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Jun 14, 2008 12 ounce bottle purchased at a random gas station in Davis, CA. Holy shit, the aroma on this is huge bubble gum and huge cotton candy. Amazingly sweet with some lemon. Doesn’t really smell like beer. Mostly hazy orange-honey colored body with a medium white head. Starts with some sour orange juice flavor. Tart, lightly astringent. More fruitiness in the middle. Very bubble-gummy late. Tastes a lot like bug spray. TNbourbon (5), Tennessee, USA does not count Jun 12, 2008 Okay, somebody’s gonna hafta explain to me about this summer spice kick (I’m a bourbonista, not a beer geek). For me, this would be pretty good WITHOUT the cilantro. What a distraction! I grew up in the north woods, and I’ve never found citrus spices at sunset there! You’d think a brewer in Minnesota would know that!
Or, maybe, that’s just what I get by halving 50 years of experience BEFORE learning to enjoy beer.
joeymacaroni (181), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 11, 2008 Coming from a guy who favors strong, hoppy beers, I didn’t think I would like this...it struck me as a frou-frou summer sipper for people who don’t ever drink craft beer when we tapped it at my bar. But I loved it. It’s very different from any other wheat beer I’d ever had. It has a taste exactly like liquid Fruity Pebbles. I swear to you. It’s got a syrupy scent of cherry, blueberry, orange, lemon, and lime, and it tastes exactly how it smells. A low alcohol content means a few before you feel anything at all. But refrain from doing the standard wheat beer thing of squeezing in an orange or lemon wedge or it comes out tasting like a weak mimosa. All in all, it’s a great session beer for sitting out on a hot muggy porch with some friends for a few hours.
