hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2007 12oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of wheat, fruity, berries, and lemonade. Very interesting. Tastes of wheat, very light spices, and a trace of berries. Thin body. Grandpa (325), Verona, New York, USA Oct 1, 2007 It poured a cloudy, straw color with a big, tight-bubbled, white head. The first swallow was light and refreshing and was followed by a lingering, bitter aftertaste. It was light on malt and light on hops; about what I expected in a wheat. Not much of a mouthfeel and the head quickly faded. It was that annoying, lingering, bitter aftertaste that turned me off. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours average light orange with a respectable head. Aroma of off-banana and bread. Flavor is very berry-like, with hints of banana and stale clove. Average mouthfeel. I’ll pass next time. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Sep 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with minimal white head. Aroma is very fruity and sweet...kinda like sunscreen. Taste is orange, blueberry, ginger, cinnamon. Very sweet, but with a thin body. Slipstream (734), USA Sep 25, 2007 Updated: Oct 22, 2007"Leiny’s" my buddy from Milwaukee calls it! Great label. Modest frothy head. Pleasant scent of malt, florals, a touch of herbs. A lively wheat beer - dry and fruity, tartness and tingle, and some cherry cough syrup in the finish. The girls will probably like this fun (but kind of strange) brew. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 23, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellowish-white body with a soapy white head. Aroma consists of some blueberries, fruit loops, and bread.
Very fruity flavour and kind of berry-like tartness. Sharp, refreshing spritzy palate. It’s not too bad. grimreeser (795), Minnesota, USA Sep 23, 2007 On tap. A hazy golden color. Aroma of citrus and blueberry. Much too sweet, nothing to balance the sweetness. Ugh. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Sep 22, 2007 Updated: Oct 24, 2008Had this from the bottle in one of the pubs in Denver during GABF. I had erroneously rated this some time ago when I had meant to rate the Berry weiss. This wasn’t too bad as a belgian-ish spin on a wheat beer. Sweeter and more simplistic (like Rickard’s White or Blue Moon), but not bad.
