[387-20070630] Tap @ Jacob’s Field (Cleveland, OH). Wheat, orange yeast and sweet fruit aroma. Golden body has a very long-lasting creamy white head. Tastes like sweet wheat with hints of apple yeast and something fruity like apricot or lemon. Medium body is fairly smooth. Sweet but weird beer, certainly interesting to try at a ballgame.

Pours to a very unfiltered straw colored body with a dense but thin lasting white head. The aroma is white bread, light bubblegum, lightly tart wheat. The flavor is white bread, light bubblegum, subtle spices. Some tartness exists on the palate. Well carbonated, chewy but not gritty. Medium bodied. Very serviceable.

Bottle. Very fruity aroma with lots of orange peel and candied oranges, a bit of coriander. Pretty sweet in the nose; mild hops. Cloudy medium amber, nice depth of color, with orange hue. Very thin white head. Medium-light bodied with medium carbonation. Starts with a real orange-laden malt sweetness with some coriander in there, too. Yeasty presence. Mild chalky bitter finish with little bit of fruity hops. After is a bit chalky and mildly bitter but short of refreshing. Overall is a nice summer beer though a bit watery.

12 oz. Bottle. Surprized to find a Leine in Az. Aroma was different like fruity blueberry and lemon. Cloudy yellow body with white head. Medium balaced flavor of lemon and malty wheat. A soapy presence was there also. If you like fruity flavored beers this is worth a try.

Weird. Definitely smells like blueberries. Taste has quite a bit too. Not good really, but better than the one or two other blueberry beers I’ve had.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very hazy dull yellow body with a one inch fizzy white head that faded rather quickly. The nose is big coriander and citrus peel with bready wheat , lighter notes of yeast and soap. The flavor is very spice driven as well with some orange like citrus and coriander up front. The finish falls a bit flat though, it’s rather watery and has a lingering detergent flavor. Mouthfeel is light and very fizzy with a fairly short finish. This might be a decent intro beer for somebody just getting into Craft beer, but it doesn’t do too much for me.

12oz bottle pours cloudy golden with a short white foamy head that stayed pretty well. Aromas of yeast, wheat, and lemon. Flavor was a little bit of wheat but mostly orange and lemon. A touch of spice on the back of the sip too. Palate is light and carbonated pretty well. On a warm day this is o.k. but nothing great.

Bottle. Pours average light orange with a respectable head. Aroma of off-banana and bread. Flavor is very berry-like, with hints of banana and stale clove. Average mouthfeel. I’ll pass next time.
