| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Feb 14, 2009 hazy yellow color, small fluffy head, some lacing. the look does not prepare you for the nose, which seems to have a hint of wheatiness, but is dominated by some kind of weird citrus aroma (at least i detect no banana). wow! i have no idea what the brewer was shooting for, but all i get in flavor is PEZ candy. medium bodied, fizzy, weird PEZ finish. this beer indeed left me speechless, as the comercial description promised, just not in a good way. 24 bottle sample case from sam’s club in matteson. now, what am i going to do with the remaining 5 bottles? porterhouse (1163), Alna, Maine, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 8, 2008 (Bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/portland/ target=blank>Downeast Beverage Co.) Pours cloudy lightly grayish yellow with a tall off-white head. Strong aroma of orange and lemon - but is it real? - it’s different than the typical citrusy wheat ale aroma. Mouthfeel smooth, lightly carbonated. Patchy lacing. Flavor is strong, almost perfumy orange blossom and lemon. Perfumy and sweet. Lingering sweet orange blossom and lemon aftertaste. Can’t decide on this one because I don’t know if the flavor is coming from the beer itself or is artificially added - I’m guessing the latter. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Oct. 2007 - Pour cloudy yellow with decent head, no lacing. Citrus aroma and an overload of citrus in the flavor. This beer was so fruity, I thought it was going to be a fruit beer, laced with apricot or something. Mouthfeel was full and well carbonated. Not a bad beer, but a bit too sweet and fruity. SuperDave70 (1158), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Hazy orange pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of fruit and really nothing else. Sweet fake fruit flavor, similar to fruity pebbles cereal. Where’s the wheat? Where’s the yeast? Not good. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 11, 2006 Pours hazy with a large head, like any decent wheat should. Aroma of lemon zest and coriander. Thin body, taste of coriander. Overly spiced with only one spice. Below average example. gws57 (1151), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA

A nice golden orange pour with a very thick, white head, nose of lemons and bread, a pronounced barley taste that was unusual but very welcome. Fruit Loops in the nose and taste. Yep, Kellogs Fruit Loops. Weird, but delicious. mephisto (1144), Taiwan
