Flavor is also a sweet citrus blend. maybe a little too sweet. Reminsicent of the green or orange froot loops. Not a good thing in a beer. Body was a bit thin. Cloying sweetness lingered far too long. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA

People around love Leinie’s and are always telling me I need to try this one or that one. I do and I cannot see the appeal. They all taste artificially flavored and uniformly bad. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Poures a hazy golden color with a white head. Has a pretty strong aroma of oranges, coriander, wheat and lemons. The aroma is very refreshing. The flavor is pretty classic wheat with the oranges and lemon thrown in for good fun. Sitting in the back is the coriander. Finishes acidic and lemony. The mouth is nicely carbonated. this was a suprisingly good beer. Not generally a fan of wheat beers, this is great find. kidmartinek (986), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Pours perfect golden color with almost no head. Decent lacing. Strong aroma of blueberry and wheat malt and hops. Tastes almost like blueberry flavored beer. It’s pretty good since I like blueberries. Flavor is abit sugary and sweet too and finishes a little bland. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Pours a cloudy straw gold with better than an inch of creamy white foam. Okay head retention and some decent lacing. Sweet candy-like aroma - skittlebrau? Some lemon in there too.
Tasty sweet and tangy wheat - with some additional flavors of lemonhead candy behind the scenes. Initially a nicely carbonated almost medium bodied brew. The longer the beer sits, the more carbonation it loses.
Experience tells me it is really good at first, then loses something as time goes on. So: tasty and drinkable in smaller fresh quantities. Odd characteristics for what should be a nice session beer.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 30, 2006 I was a little leary when my buddy brought this over. I always thought leinie’s was okay back in the day, but that was before discovering the complexity of better craft brews. Plus, it’s never a good thing when a macro company (Miller) buys your out. Well, I was still interested in this as the wheat/hefe style has really grown on me. Pours a cloudy yellowish orange. Looks the part. Smell is some banana, orange, clove. I taste the orange, more than the banana, and a peppery finish. Interesting, and because of that I will give this beer its props. I would say it has some witbier qualities. Not bad, better than average, which is a good thing for Leinenkugels.
