I always thought leinie’s was okay back in the day, but that was before discovering the complexity of better craft brews. Plus, it’s never a good thing when a macro company (Miller) buys your out. Well, I was still interested in this as the wheat/hefe style has really grown on me. Pours a cloudy yellowish orange. Looks the part. Smell is some banana, orange, clove. I taste the orange, more than the banana, and a peppery finish. Interesting, and because of that I will give this beer its props. I would say it has some witbier qualities. Not bad, better than average, which is a good thing for Leinenkugels. ajm (949), Los Angeles, California, USA

But the more I drink, the more I am inclined to use the word ’cloying’ on this beverage - a word I have never used. Very smooth, very fruity (like Fruity Pebbles, as my Utah kin like to say) like oranges and apple juice. The best or worst thing to happen to the western US in some time. stefanje (948), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Updated: Sep 27, 200712 oz bottle, amber unfiltered cloudy body with an off white head. Aroma of citrus and spice. Distinct flavors of oranges, cloves, allspice and bananas, clean palate, refreshing finish. Definitely has the character of a fruit beer. Re-rate note: having working my way thru a sixer I am discovering that I have acquired a taste for this unusual concoction. Points raised from 2.7 to 3.2. Rockinout (946), Kent, Ohio, USA

| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Jul 15, 2007 Quite possibly the worst beer I’ve ever had. This smells like a fruit salad, an over ripe fruit salad. Flavor is more like a wine cooler than beer, all sugar, no distinguishable malt or hops. Flavor is sweet like boxed wine. I nearly spit this beer back into the bottle... it’s that bad.
