This was kind of odd. It looked like a wheat, but the aroma was blueberry, banana, bubblegum, and licorace. The flavor was pretty much the same, with the licorace and blueberry being more pronounced. There was very little "wheat" character. In fact, I thought it may have been a fruit beer. On tap, Barley’s, Knoxville.

Had on tap at a beer tent at the recent music fest in Bethlehem, PA. Pours a cloudy amber-orange color producing a thin, small bubbled white head. Nose is fruity sweet with huge notes of orange juice, vanilla cream, crushed berries, perfume and ground wheat. Very different and unique aroma profile here for sure. Mouthfeel was smooth and refreshing but slightly thin and watery as you swallow. Taste very similar to the aromas but not as distractingly perfumey. Refreshingly sweet creamsicle, fresh squeezed orange juice, blueberry, heavy cream and some coriander and pepper come through. Finish is a bit thin and quick but a nice thirst quencher on a hot day.

I bought a six of this while visiting my daughter at WVU for parents weekend ’06’. I had the last 2 bottles the next day at end of summer block party. Perfect summer beer. Light body with citrus and raspberry flavor. Went down fast and easy. I enjoyed them.

What a great aroma! It makes a great lead in to this beer. It was also the best thing to be found here, not that this was a bad beer. It was extremely crisp and clean and had a nice feel to it. Several have mentioned Fruit Loops and that has some truth to it. There are also spices and coriander. Leinenkugels is one of my favorite brewers and I have yet to be disappointed by one of their products.

Draught at Kane County Cougars game. Spice in the nose like corriander or allspice. Cloudy, brownish orange from what I could tell looking through a plastic cup. Off-white head. Tastes like it smells; spices. Some dough in the finish. Not bad. Better than Leinie’s hefe. Not quite sweet enough. There is some flavor aspect I don’t like. Buddy says it tastes like fruit loops. My second time having it out of a bottle was a noticeably better experience. Banana notes with some sweetness. A good summer quencher with flavor.

Name: Sunset Wheat
Date: 06/25/2007
Mode: Draft
Source: Milwaukee Airport

opaque light orange, fine white head, streaks of drippy lace, light sweet fruity aroma, creamy yet carbonate body, lots of sweet orange flavor, character is kept light by the wheat, carbonic bite and sweet orange makes this an orange soda and gets a good score only because I like orange cream sodas,

An excellent ripe melon treat for a 90+ humid day matched only by the company of a new friend and a convertable ride. Light texture makes a refreshing drink with citrus overtones but nothing of wheat?? Smooth finish.

Pours a cloudy peach color with a white head. Strong orange and coriander aroma and flavor, alot of fruit presence. Light and refreshing, very good easy drinking beer.
