| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2007 Strange beer but not bad at all. Flavor and aroma are of grain, unprocessed wheat and barley. Heavily carbonated and the hop presence is minimal. Gold and a tall, light khaki colored head. Sweet finish. puzzl (2648), New York, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Bottle from TAR. Hefe like, spicy wheat aroma. Clovey and gum. Mega-head on the pour. Almost completely clear when settled, but thick yeast at the bottom makes a huge difference in cloudiness... and flavor. Flavor is a little weak before the yeast dump, but is significantly bolstered with it, lending much more spiciness and (believe it or not) yeastiness. Slightly belgian notes, but this is almost completely a hefe. I notice nothing about the buckwheat that I wouldn’t notice in normal wheat. Perhaps just maybe a little buckwheat honey flavor but I’m likely digging too deep/trying to hard. Good beer, a little thin, and I should’ve drank this colder. And it should be in a 500, not a 750. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

(75 cl) Hazy, yellow-golden beer with a small white head. The nose is very barnyard-ish, with some sourness and spices. Spices, wheat and some sweetness in the mouth. Medium body and a spices finish. A refreshing beer that sends some faint thoughts to hefe-weizen. (070103)
