Strange beer but not bad at all. Flavor and aroma are of grain, unprocessed wheat and barley. Heavily carbonated and the hop presence is minimal. Gold and a tall, light khaki colored head. Sweet finish.

Bottle from TAR. Hefe like, spicy wheat aroma. Clovey and gum. Mega-head on the pour. Almost completely clear when settled, but thick yeast at the bottom makes a huge difference in cloudiness... and flavor. Flavor is a little weak before the yeast dump, but is significantly bolstered with it, lending much more spiciness and (believe it or not) yeastiness. Slightly belgian notes, but this is almost completely a hefe. I notice nothing about the buckwheat that I wouldn’t notice in normal wheat. Perhaps just maybe a little buckwheat honey flavor but I’m likely digging too deep/trying to hard. Good beer, a little thin, and I should’ve drank this colder. And it should be in a 500, not a 750.

RBSG 2007. Hazy gold color with a thick head. Banana, wheat and coriander aroma. Big wheat taste, but it finishes slightly stale and sour.

Bottle shared by kp on 1/26/07: Pours a hazy golden bronze with a pillowy, full-lacing white head. Has a sweet, floral bready biscuity Belgian malt and yeasty aroma. Body starts lightly sweet and pale Belgian malty with some airy carbonation toward a slightly clove flavored sweet finish. An interesting and fairly enjoyable brew.

Bottle: Orange yellow amber with a thick bubbly white head. The aroma sweet yeast and citrus. The flavor was malt citrus fruit. Finished with a tingle and acidic bite.

Bottled at the Belgian Embassy in Oslo. (75 cl) Hazy, yellow-golden beer with a small white head. The nose is very barnyard-ish, with some sourness and spices. Spices, wheat and some sweetness in the mouth. Medium body and a spices finish. A refreshing beer that sends some faint thoughts to hefe-weizen. (070103)
