Yeasty wheat nose, lemon, dough and a faint spiciness. Starts out very carbonated, but settles down a bit as it warms. Light, lively mouthfeel. A sodalike spritz is noticed in the throat after each sip. Banana and lemon lead the way from the first, a bit of dough and clove follows. Light lemony wheat finish, and the clove eclipses the dough completely. One of the best I got from the club this year, thoroughly enjoyable. Well done! sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 2, 2006 750 ml cork and cage bottle. Unfiltered and hazy golden copper hue. Thick activated bright white head. Aromas of citrus and corriander and orange from the yeasty head. Other olfactory observatios include a grassy, grainy wheaty aroma. A subtle mustiness. And a hint of cinnamon bread mixed with a peppery spice. Lively and full and thick from the dead yeast cells. Zesty and crisp. Nice and spicy. Wonderful example of a wit. As it warms, the edges become smoother and the beers rounds out its palate. Very well done! | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 27, 2006 This was excellent. The buckwheat gives it a sturdy, different, backbone of hearty grain. A lemony, fruity thread keeps it all clean and refreshing. Drink no colder than cool, it really opens up. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA

The aroma is a beautiful bubblegum and esters aroma. The flavor is nice, but the buckwheat doesn’t have the firm flavor of a normal with wheat. A nice spiciness from the yeast. I didn’t really guess this was a witbier though. Creamy body. I really dug this beer. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2006 Pours a cloudy straw color with a nice big white head. Smells of coriander, cinnamon, sugar, dough, sweet citrus. Taste is sweet with bananas, sweet fruit, some coriander, and orangey. Palate is full and enjoyable. Some underlying nuttiness appears on the finish. Very drinkable. festyzizzle (30), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2007 This beer made a mess in my kitchen. After I removed the wire cage from the top of the bottle the cork popped itself and started to flow over the counter. Needless to say it was a very carbonated beer. Dark amber in color, long lasting head. Nice fig and dough flavor with a somewhat sour finish. A very good beer. TheBeerGod (3163), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Pours a hazy gold with a tall fizzy, rapidly receding, white head. Nose smacks of wheat, lemony notes, light yeast, and faint spices. Taste is sweet malts, wheat, light lemon notes, and faint spices. Yeast notes throughout this one as well. Body is light with extremely effervescent carbonation. Very bubbly and active. Light dryness towards the end. Finishes with more spices, sweet malts, wheat, yeast and light lemony notes. I really enjoyed this one!
