JorisPPattyn (4514), Antwerpen, Belgium May 19, 2008 Slight gushing to metallic-blond beer, with a yellowish head, fast gone. Grassy nose, pale malts and white candi sugar, alcohol. Spicy flavour, Chinese five-spices (quite outspoken), and cumin extra. Malty underbuild. Warming up, I get gingerbread spices. Medium bodied at last; pretty well-attenuated. Nice, if maybe over-spiced tripel. I don’t use caraway seeds frequent enough to recognize them as Bart does. BartC (255), Lichtaart, Belgium May 19, 2008 Blond beer. Flavor and aroma are dominated by the caraway. Although caraway in combination with peppers can give nice flavors to the beer, this was clearly a bit to much of it. Papsoe (10537), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 19, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with tiny, floating impurities and a dense, white head. Fruity, sweetish aroma. Quite full-bodied with a pleasant, sweet fruitiness, yeast and a somewhat astringent, phenollic finish that also shows quite some alcohol. 160408 KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Apr 17, 2008 Hazy golden with large white head. Sweet yeasty with fruity and coriander notes. Flavor goes same way. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 17, 2008 Bottle.
