Dark golden color with a soft airy white candle looking head. Aromas of grape peels with perhaps a touch of herbal hops. Sweet start in the flavors with corn grits and raisins. A hint of malt in the finish, but the body still shudders from the first taste. Light with quite a bit of spritz of the palate. I should have passed on this.

Medium gold body with a little haze. The head is white. The aroma is sweet with glazed donuts and some cooked caramelized carrots. The taste is sweet potatoes with some honey and a little bit of celery spice in the finish. A decen tlager, but a little sweet overall.

Bottled. Poured clear medium golden with a short cap of white head that receded to a thin pool rather quickly. The aroma picked up sweet pale and perhaps caramel malts along with a touch of wheat and some honey. The flavor had pale malts and corn.. an ugly overriding darker sweetness made this not so good.. sharper citrus notes with more corn stick to the edges of the palate. Lighter-bodied with ugly, tacky notes in all the wrong places.. not very good.

Surprisingly, this is a medium amber with a good solid head and an active tilt. Although it delivers the expected corn starchiness, it’s also has much richer caramel malt basis than I expected, with an apple tinge. Better than I could have hoped for.

In the bottle. Thanks to Darrell M. for the birthday beer. Pours a surprising light amber with an initial significant head that regresses, but does not die. leaves nice lacing behind. Aroma is slightly floral and malty. Pleasant smelling beer. medium carbonation. Body is on the weaker side as it is a little watery for its appearance. Hop finish is present, but it just does not announce itself with authority. Strange little contract brew.

Not much too this beer at all. Light and thin, with absolutely no aroma, exept perhaps a bit of sourness. Tastes like a bit of burnt paper and pencil shavings. Just not good at all.

Appearance: Pours a clear, orange-hued body with no more than a thin ring of white bubbles on top. Swirl - swirl - nothin’. Smell: Sweetish, lightly bready nose with a vague estery fruit hint and touch of floral European hops. Taste: Upfront is a sweetish, stale bready (bordering on grainy) taste. Touch of fruit. Faintly floral, lightly spicy hops, though the bitterness is a bit lacking, leaving you with a semi-dry finish and some bleak flavors lingering into the aftertaste. You’re lifeless and a tad unclean, Lemp. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Though it paired well with the Johnny Cash song "Ring of Fire", it’s not one to stand on its own really. Sadly, Lemp is one to skip. I dare say it’d even come up short when compared to some of the macro lagers.
