unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2009 Growler. Deep orange pour. Citrus aroma. Very nice hop aroma. Flavor is sweet malt. Some cotton candy. All followed up by a calming American C-hop bitterness. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 28, 2009 On tap @ the brewpub. Clear medium orange with a 1/2 finger yellowish white head, good retention. Big grassy citrus hops and light pine hops behind, with a solid lightly sweet clean caramel malt backbone. The flavor has the caramel turning a little honeyish, with the hops otherwise staying the same. Dry finish with bitterness at a 4. Light carbonation with a medium body. Very good IPA--more of a regular IPA than a West Coast. . . KnN (712), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Mar 8, 2009 One of the most well balanced "hop bombs" I’ve had in a lng longtime. On Tap at the brewpub in Bakersfield. Poured a really nice looking deep orange color with a nice white head. Flavor is juicy hops with a nice almost sweet malt nose in the background. Flavor is amazing. Some really nice citrus hop kick at the front end with a little bit of pine hop thrown in for interest, but the bitterness you expect at the back of your mouth was replaced by the sweetness of the malt. There was a lot of good stuff going on in this glass. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Updated: Jul 18, 2009

nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 22, 2008 On tap. Poured a dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Flavor is malty with a citrus finish. Medium body with mild carbonation. Good IPA. I keep being amazed at the small Cali brew pubs. Great beer coming from this region. ChainGangGuy (2522), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Sep 21, 2008 Appearance: Pours a hazy, dark amber body supporting a thin ring of white bubbles.
Smell: A full hoppiness commands the aroma with notes of spice, citrus, pine, and even grass. Only a slight caramel maltiness beneath.
Taste: Caramel maltiness, lightly sweet, and quickly cleansed away by a blast of spring water. Then come to prominence, bringing the same components as with the aroma and a medium-high bitterness that lasts well into the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A fine, finely bitter India Pale Ale. ATLBeerDog (280), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 13, 2008 Updated: Oct 2, 2008Pours yellow/slightly red in color, slightly cloudy with a small head. Smells of hops, hops, and more hops. Did I say hops? First sip is a trip to hop heaven. A malty backbone nicely compliments the strong hops. A strong bitter finish with above average carbonation. A fine showing. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Apr 20, 2008 Hazy orange color, nice head. Floral, pine, and grapefruit hop aroma. Nice bitter in the West Coast style. Notes of perfume, grapefruit, and pine. A little black pepper too.
