Color was a cloudy, cream yellow. Tasted very "wit-like" with an alcoholic banana, clove taste. It had a very nice hop finish which I wasnt expecting. Not bad!

On tap at the brewpub in Bakersfield. Poured a really nice cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma was banana and cloves. Flavor was a bit of the same, but also a bit on the sweet side which was surprising. The banana was not overwhelming which was nice. Decent wheat.

13-Aug-08 (22-oz bottle with a competition label only: Free sample bottle for stewarding the 2008 World Beer Cup in San Diego, CA) Entered as a South German-style hefeweizen, this is a very spicy wheat beer, not a characterless beer with wheat flavor and nothing else. Jumping out are bright spices, lots of cloves, sweet banana and bubblegum, all the yeast-driven flavors you expect out of an authentic hefeweizen. Aromas of dough, banana and clove reinforce the flavors. Medium in body into the finish, but the spices and moderate carbonation are lively enough to keep the palate dancing and feeling reasonably well refreshed. Cloudy, pale yellow in color with a small, whitish head that settles to a thin ring. Nice job on this one.

On tap @ the brewpub. Cloudy orange with a small creamy off-white head, fading to a film. Loads of banana in the aroma with some faint spicy clove notes. Flavor is much the same with just a little bit of lemon. Big wheat finish with bitterness around a 2 or so. Light prickly carbonation with a medium body. This is not an American Wheat--this is one banana-y hefe.
