| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Thanks SS. A mild gusher. Dark mahogany color with a hugh ecru head. Really a nice looking pour with fine lines of lace. I do believe this is the first time appearance has scored higher than aroma for me. Nutty resinous aromas dominate. Something seems amiss. I’ve caught this aroma in a few homebrews before, a stale rye bread with a touch of damp mold. Thankfully the flavors are not a thrown off as the aromas. Mild dry caramel, with a touch of cream. Mild acidic hops counter with some light floral and bitter dry herbs. This gets more bitter the further you travel. Finish is very dry and bitter. I sense that this has a mild infection, but it seems to add a dimension in the flavor. A mild return to caramel malt in the long linger. An interesting brew. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 8, 2006 Bottle... TITW Part Deux... Clear copper ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Cotton candy and mild caramel in the nose. Extremely well-balanced flavor. More like a really decent amber ale than a Triple IPA. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, grassy finish. Thanks to IrishBoy for providing the bottle! TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2006 Enjoyed a sample of this one at Tasting in the Woods, Part Deux. This beer pours to a bright, deep amber to red color, with a tall, off white head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose on this beer has some good sweet/stewed caramel malt aromas, paired with light citrus/lemon hop aroma. The palate delives more good sweet/caramel malt flavors, with a good undertone of citrus/lemon hop flavor. This beer finishes with more good caramel/sweet malt up front, then ends with a tangy citrus hop bite that slightly lingers. Not my favorite example of the style. All and all a decent example, but I would have liked more hop aromatics, and a bit more vibrant/tangy bittereness in the finish. A good beer that would match really well with pub grub. cbkschubert (2002), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Really enjoyed the taste. I loved the triple hoppness of the beer and it left your mouth with a little bit of a sweet taste. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Updated: Aug 24, 20061 pint 6 oz bottle. Poured a brown/red color with a beige head. Atoma was very malty with hints of honey and hops. The taste lived up to its name-- "triple hop"-- very evident with lots of activity, very nice red ale. I loved the notes of malt and faint honey in it, left the palate nicely... veryyyy enjoyable!
