The aroma is equal parts hops and malt. Medium, creamy body with taste that belies what the aim is - a malty Amber with a hops kick. Even so the hops is not nearly as strong as suggested. The finish is sweet, with some lingering hops. This is apparently Lenghtwise’s flagship beer and it is pretty good, although some more hops would be welcome. awaisanen (1279), Irvine, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2006 From draft. Semi-hazy, redwood colored pour with a thin layer of creamy beige head. Faint aromas of floral clover, honey, and malt balls. A little hoppy bitterness of carnation stem is followed by a sugary, chocolate chip cookie dough malty gorging on the tongue. Texture is a bit thin and watery, but the initial flavor impression is grand. Could use a bigger hops punch. Overall, an easy drinking, flavorful brew, but it lacks much depth beyond the first kiss to the tongue. jimbowood (954), Athens, Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2006 From Odeed. The beer pours to a deep red body with a nice creamy light tan head. Very nice lacing. The aroma is huge. Oranges, orange rind, caramel, sweet hoppiness. The flavor is nice but I wish it would be kicked up another notch or two like Big Hoppy Monster. Very similar in what they were trying to do, I feel. Caramel, light "stale" malt/hop, grapefruits and blood oranges. Medium creamy body. Slightly burnt toastedness. Goes well with the dill Havarti cheese I’m eating. hopdog (5590), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a dark and somewhat cloudy amber color with a large sized (4.5 finger) off white head. Aromas of caramel, oranges, light pine and light grass. Tastes of caramel, grapefruit, and light grass. Body on the thin and bordering watery side. ericmc83 (200), Arkansas, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 8, 2005 Sample courtesy of Pailhead. Another bootle from Odeed in the cellar. Pours reddish hue with decent white head. Lots of burnt grain and caramel malt through the aroma and flavor. Some chocolate even, but almost no hop charecter present at all in my sample. Strange indeed. Looking at other reviews I have a re-rate in the near future.
