Hazy amber color, light red glow. Nose is laid back, spicey and grassy. Body is med/light, creamy. Lightly sweet caramel maltiness, light buttery notes. Grassy hops flavors are lightly resiny, gentle citrus notes. Finish is lightly sweet and hoppy. Thanks to Odeed for the trade. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

Very hoppy aroma of grass and fruit. Sweet flavour with some fruity taste. Not much bitterness at the end, but overall a nice bitter amber ale. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2005 This could be called a regular IPA, but I guess they decided to call it an Amber Ale, which the color does fit. Amber color, aroma is grassy and somewhat lemony. I’m betting two of the three hops to be cascade and centennial. Moderate bitterness somewhat balanced by the malt sweetness. Finish is pretty sweet. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2005 Thanks to Odeed for this sample. Pours a deep red/brown with an off white head that sticks around. Smells of yogurt, with some vague fruity undertones. Taste isn’t as hoppy as I’d hoped, but still nice with some nice fruity and citrus tastes initially mellowing out with some nutty elements on the finish. Decent thick mouthfeel. Not at all typical of an amber. Silphium (2137), Haslett, Michigan, USA

Ruddy orange-red body, medium-large cream head. Earthy hops aroma, very bready. Big, bitter, earthy body with perfumey hops and a touch of caramel, but dominated by bitter notes. Medium-bodied with a rather medicinal finish. Strange beer. aobecksy (661), Middle of no where, Ohio, USA

Red hues with great head, grapefruit/greenapples in flavor, dry finish. Pailhead (2597), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of Odeed via trade. Aroma is very fruity with orange and some slight grapefruit hops. Pours a transparent amber with a small off-white head. Furity and citrusy up front. Finish has notes of apple and light grapefruit hoppiness. Definitely not your average amber ale. Very few similarities, if any, with the style. BBB63 (4238), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2005 Bottle sampled at the Labor Day gathering:
More of an amber hue than red with a huge frothy off-white head and great lacing. The aroma has notes of apple, grassy and light piney hops, bready malt and light yeast esters. The taste starts acidic and fruity with a crystal malt background, I like the nice grapefruit twang it provides. The finish is a bit flowery and more mellow than I expected. The mouth feel is quite lively and dry, refreshing. A surprising brew that I liked even if I don’t really know what it is suppose to be.
