50cl bottle at Chris O’s Shindig. Reasonably attractive dark brown colour with a slight off white head. Sweet malt aroma, fairly dull. Heavy caramel flavour, more malt and some light chocolate notes. Late bitter / sour note makes it pleasing to drink. Rastacouere (5560), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Burgundy reflections come across the dark brown body. Fair off-white head lasts atop it all. Earthy, caramelly and sugary nose hides a metallic component that becomes more obvious in mouth where the maltiness takes an interesting date-like twist. Rather expanding carbonation feels airy. Sweet and filling flavours with a definite liquorice reminding trait. Magicdave6 (5552), London, Greater London, England
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Bottle at Chris_o’s "smash Kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Darker sweet sugary malt, belgian fruity esters off the yeast, far too sweet and over carbonated. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
