| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 2, 2009 At the brewpub on tap (12 oz), the first November 2009. Honey blonde, no head. Aroma of hops packed with citrus, small hints of vanilla. The taste of the hops is very bitter, notes of citrus, good spicy aftertaste. Fans of Orval and other like it will love it!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a small creamy white head. Aroma’s fruitier then expected, grainy as well, along with some light sugary sweetness, light herbal hops and yes, some pears. Pleasant flavour is also fruity and grainy along with pale malt, some light spices and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Easy to drink and a decent version of the style. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2009 My Bottom Line:
A very pleasant lemongrass-like herbal hop sting develops into wooden bitterness within this Belgian-style Ale’s subtle banana and pear esters, while crunchy cereals create more depth.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the cloudy golden.
-The prickly carbonation befits the style, but the dextrins are perhaps more present than usual for the beer to be "authentic".
-All flavors are well balanced, as is the case for all of the BdTemps beers I’ve had.
-This is a very drinkable ale for the hop lover who doesn’t want his tastebuds to be destroyed.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2009 2009-11-17. Crisp dark yellow with a small off white head and lace. 3+ Modest aroma, spice, vanilla planted in my head by the menu or really there? Touch of florals, pale malt. 6+ Spices become a bit more bitter in the flavour, not to their betterment in my opinion. 6+ Average to light palate. Pleasant but the spice character does not suit my liking today. Perhaps it would another time? On tap at the brewpub LadySusan (488), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Draught. At the brewpub. Hazy pale gold with a solid creamy white head. Aroma of apple, off-dry white wine, banana, clover and yeast. The taste was crisp and dry, slightly boozy, quite grassy and not too fruity or sweet - I did pick up a fair bit of pear. Light bodied, slightly astringent, nice and lively on the tongue - quick-finishing though. Refreshing, simple, not too boozy - just nice. Eructoblaster (1508), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
