My Bottom Line:
This snappy Altbier focuses on its able balance of biscuity caramel malts and earthy, herbal hops, before it takes you to a calculated wooden hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the clear russet.
-The body is lean and maltiness crisp, which I like in the style.
-Black cherry fruitiness is found in the nose’s caramel sweetness, but is not tasted though.
-Very nice throughout, this would make a fine session beer.

Bottle for Bières et Plaisir.

A dark clear brown ale with a thick off white head. Aroma is of burned caramel, light woodiness, and hops. In mouth, a classy malty thing, with very nutty notes, wood, and sustained burned bitterness. A medium bodied beer. Bought at Jovi, 5.40$.

Dark brown, like a really interesting brown beer, witrh some head and yeasty and malty aroma. Some chocolate malt, definitely on the sweet side. Dr. Lexier’s birthday, 1/3. Easy drinking, simple dessert. Medium mouthfeel. A malt, primary, exercise.

Bottle (750ml - corked and caged). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, my bottle via trade with Viper666. Clear bright copper, large frothy off-white lasting head - thick lacing. Dry aroma, wheaty, light honey, grassy hops. Dry taste too - cereal malt, dry bitter herbal hops, mild alcohol. Light body, crisp, decent carbonation, dusty linger. Right on style, I’d say - very good.

Corked Bottle 750 ml
Appearance :Dark copper with amber body , large creamy milk like crown on top, medium fine lacing .4+
Nose :Sweet aromatic noble hop aroma , meadow flower scent , soft gently sweeten caramel malts. Very neat but not entire alt like.7+
Flavour/Palate : Now we are talking. Medium full bodied caramel with strong nutty feel. Bitter feel at sides of Schumacher alt. This one is creamier softer in body. Middle smoothly enters similar finish. As aroma palate generously rewards us with pleasures. Dark woody tavern character of old Germany. Almost flawless, wished if it was bit more assertive in its alt character. Felt a bit too soft for my licking.

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear deep orange-ruby with a large mostly-lasting off-white head. Aroma is biscuity along with some honey, toasted malt, wood and a good amount of hops. Flavour’s dry and malty along with fruit and lots of herbal hops (for the style). Light to medium bodied. Very sessionable, this is one of the best Altbiers I’ve ever had. Well done.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a medium offwhite head. Good aroma of caramel, hops and toasted malt. Very good, balanced flavor of hops, caramel, toasted malt and sucre d’orge, there is mild bitterness in the finish. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and gentle carbonation.

Clear amber body with a medium beige head. Bready malts with some woody notes, slightly roasted nuts wrapped in luscious caramel and a touch of smoke. Lots of grassy hops balance it off and provide a mild bitterness. Smooth body and a lively carbonation. For about a year it was only available on tap. The tap pint I had a year ago was simply exquisite with its additional fruity complexity (4.0 / 5). Now it was released in 750ml bottle. Not quite as exquisite as the old tap version with still a top notch session Alt. Makes me happier than a kitten with a Q-tip.
