Bottle from trip to Montreal. Pale yellow-gold with a fairly large white head. Aroma of light toasted malt, faint herbal hops, and a slight corn character. Medium body. Flavour os toasted grain, light hops, and again a faint corn/veggie character. Not awful, but pretty M.O.R.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with lots of bubbles and an average size foamy white head. Aroma of corn, vegetables, grain, caramel malt and light hops -- not encouraging. Flavour’s a bit better, not as vegetal, with caramel malt, grain and light hops. Mild bitter finish. Medium bodied, quite carbonated. Trois Mousquetaires make some great beer but this isn’t one of them, not something I’d have again.

Une blonde de soif respectable. Tout doux en équilibre entre le malt et l’amertume. Présence de quelques flocons dans la bouteille alors que la date d’embouteillage indique 5 mois d’âge.

Brown bottle, 341 ml, gift from Philippe Wouters, bottled in 06 06, savoured on April 30 2007; eye: pale straw, clear, light effervescence, tiny white head that becomes a ring around the glass; nose: light grainy malt, corn, corn, slight hops; mouth: light caramelized malt, grainy, slightly spicy caramel with a velvety side to it, finale in a diluted caramelized malt, slightly grainy texture, mildly sweet, slightly bitter, medium body, quite carbonated, a bit thin, slightly astringent; overall: ordinary FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 341 ml, cadeau de Philippe Wouters, embouteillée en 06 06, savourée le 30 avril 2007; œil : paille pâle, claire, légère effervescence, petite mousse blanche qui se transforme en un petit anneau; nez : léger malt granuleux, maïs, très léger houblon; bouche : léger malt caramélisé, granuleux, caramel légèrement piquant avec une petit côté velouté, finale en malt caramélisé dilué, texture légèrement granuleuse, moyennement sucrée, très légèrement amère, corps moyen, assez carbonatée, un peu mince, très légère astringence; en résumé : ordinaire

Sample at April 2007 Brewnosers meeting. Toasty, floral, lightly herbal aroma. Toasty, grainy, floral, lightly herbal flavour. Medium bodied, firm but smooth mouthfeel. Decent.

On tap at Vice et Versa. Bright clear golden lager. Very slight hops in nose, mostly malt aroma. Mouthfeel is watery. Grainy malt, but with some balance and character that grows with tasting. Not horrid, a bit boring. Clean, lawnmower beer.

Fête bières et saveurs 2006. Robe dorée pâle très claire surmontée d’une mousse timide. Arômes légers de malt. Saveurs légères de malt.
