Arome extrèment faible de malte, quel sorte je ne sais pas. Goût très poche d’houblon sec et herbeux. Non recomandable. Boutip (2385), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 14, 2006 Bottle: Poured a blonde lager with a small white bubbly head with average retention. Taste is very refreshing with some semi-sweet malt and a subtle hops presence. Body is a bit thin and there is a definite lack of complexity. This is in my opinion a very average session beer overall. radiomgb (2056), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/quebec/g target=blank>La Trappe à Fromage in Gatineau, Quebec. Light yellow in colour, quickly dissipating white head leaving behind some spotty lace. The aroma is crisp, grainy, light citrus with some minor grassy hops. The flavour was a bit tangy, crisp, some light grass and grains, some fruity sweetness. Small bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a light bitterness, lingering. Glouglouburp (2865), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Taste is citrusy, crisp malts, herbal with some grassy hops. Tartness without bitterness. Hops character feel pilsner-ish. Short finish. Thin but not watery body. Its citrus/tart character makes it a ok refreshing summer beer but not much beyond that. If the real D’Artagnan musketeer was as good as this beer, I probably could defeat him in a duel with a cafeteria plastic knife. LadySusan (488), Ste-Therese, Quebec, Canada

It has a light amber color with a fruity taste that leans towards apples. I tried it but I will not have it again. destroye7 (304), Melbourne, Australia

Slightly hazy bubbly gold with a bright white foamy head, decent retention. Very dry grassy aroma with some jangly-harsh sweet toast malt, surprisingly fresh dry herbal hops though.
Taste is ... not bad! Again with the pungent, dry, herbal hops, dry, grainy, a little honeyish malt - only a little tang in the longish, funky-bitter finish knocks my rating down. Mouthfeel is astringent, dry, decently carbonated - remember this isn’t a pale lager, it’s a helles - better than it’s made out to be here, imho. Fish (439), Kure, Japan
