Bottle, shared by puzzl. Dark brown, clearish. Aroma is smoked, some meat and vanilla. Flavor is the same, some roasted chocolate, smoked and a tiny bit meaty. Good balance.

25 oz bottle, via jimbowood. Pours a dark brown body with just the slightest bit of light passing thru. Nice creamy foamy brown head that retained as a thin film. Huge intense fruity nose, all plum and to a lesser extent raisons, licorice, and cocoa powder. Just a touch of roast and some coffee. Heavy fruit flavor up front starts things off right, but the finish doesn’t do it for me. Seems kinda husky and rough with too much alcohol apparency. Lingering cocoa nibs and alcohol. Mouthfeel is full and thick with some lingering sticky clinginess on the finish. Nice pleasant soft carbonation. Overall, a little too much of a yeast profile as well. Ok, but it’s not as smooth as it could be. It really comes across as more "ale-y" than "lager-y" in it’s character.

Very tasty Baltic. Nose seems very licorice-like, and the flavor follows suit, a good quality, pure licorice.

750 ml. bottle The color is dark brown with a beige head. The aroma is of malt, the taste is also of malt with added taste of caramel and dark chocolat. There is a nice bitter finish to it that makes it pleasant.

750 mL bottle received via trade with Glouglouburp. Pours opaque with an average, fizzy, light brown head, lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (dark chocolate, coffee, toast), light hops (grass), average yeast (leather) with notes of charcoal, prunes, and dates. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.
